Meet Barr Chidi Ojinere Iriji, Mbaise Grand Patron Award Recipient
Chief Barr. Henry Chidi Ojinere (Odozi Obodo I of Umuchieze)
Chief Barrister Henry Chidi Ojinere is a distinguished legal practitioner, entrepreneur, community leader, and philanthropist from Umuchieze, Ihiteaforukwu, in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. He was born on the 4th of March 1970 into the noble family of Chief Atheneseus Ojinere Odom of Umuchieze Autonomous Community.
Barr. Ojinere obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology and subsequently attended the Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja, where he earned his Barrister-at-Law (B.L.) qualification and was called to the Nigerian Bar.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Barr. Ojinere has played significant roles in the growth and development of several successful businesses. He was one of the founding directors of Mclatek Nigeria Limited and LCD International Limited. He currently serves as the Chairman of FWE Western Energy Company Limited, a wholly indigenous Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company that plays an active role in Nigeria’s upstream oil and gas sector.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Chief Barr. Henry Chidi Ojinere is widely respected for his commitment to community development and humanitarian service. He has supported numerous initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of his people, including the provision of scholarships for students, construction and rehabilitation of rural roads, and substantial contributions to the building of churches and community town halls. His dedication to the advancement of his community has touched many lives and inspired sustainable development projects.
In recognition of his remarkable contributions to the growth and progress of Umuchieze Autonomous Community, he was conferred with the prestigious traditional title of Odozi Obodo I of Umuchieze by His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr. Enyeribe Onuoha (Eze Udo I of Umuchieze Autonomous Community)
Chief Barr. Henry Chidi Ojinere is happily married to Chief Mrs. Kechi Ojinere*, and together they are blessed with three children: Dirinna, Chidozie, and Adaure.
